JONAH’S SEAFOOD HOUSE
Jonah’s continues the tradition of serving fresh seafood, flown in daily. Because the “catch” is always changing, our menu is updated twice daily. Everything on the menu must meet Jonah’s high standards for quality, including our prime meats, chicken, and shellfish. You can pair your selection with a variety of cooking styles, original sauces, toppings, and sides, all developed in the Jonah’s kitchen.
2601 OYSTER BAR
At our 2601 Oyster Bar, you'll always find a lively crowd, enjoying our casual, yet upscale atmosphere. The menu includes sandwiches, flatbreads, and a tempting array of appetizers. Try our grouper sandwich or enjoy our fresh shucked oysters, with at least two varieties offered on the half shell daily. Try one of our craft beers, imported wines, a martini, or one of our specialty mixed drinks, poured to perfection.
MARKET & BAKE SHOP
Our latest addition, The Market & Bake Shop, gives you convenient access to items on our menu plus much, much more! A boutique market and bakery featuring fresh seafood, choice meats, exotic cheeses, fresh brewed coffee, imported and domestic wines, craft beers, plus the same ingredients, spices, and sauces used in the Jonah's kitchen!
About Jonah’s
Jonah's Seafood House was founded in East Peoria, Illinois in August 1986. Veteran Restaurateurs Terry and Pattie Waldschmidt had a vision for a dining experience unlike those available at the time. They wanted a menu that featured their favorite flavors from Tampa, San Francisco, Boston and New Orleans. They also wanted to showcase some of their own specialties. His Clam Chowder and her Sweet Au Gratins are still served every day!
Our menu is based on simplicity and consistency, and a commitment to excellence on every level. We also strive to take the mystery out of seafood. We tell you where the fish comes from each day, how best to eat it (as would a local), and how to experiment with the great sauces and sides made fresh to go with each fish. Today we are widely recognized as the "people who know fresh fish." Our fish is flown in and received fresh each day, inspected for quality and then cut and weighed by hand. Twice daily, Jonah's prints our menu to offer a variety of eight or more fresh fish from which to choose, as well as a vast array of cooking styles, original sauces, toppings and sides, that guests may pair with the fish of their choice.

Private Parties
Jonah’s boasts four private dining spaces. Having a wide variety of room sizes makes Jonah’s ideal for all kinds of events. Birthday parties, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, class reunions, holiday parties, business dinners, funeral luncheons, seminars, and more have been hosted at Jonah’s.
