Please see below for positions for which Jonah’s is currently hiring.

Bartender

Individuals responsible for production of drinks within the restaurant. Further responsibilities include bar stocking and inventory control. Opportunities for cross-training as server. Ideal candidates will be personable, hard-working, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Due to certain age restrictions on the sale and distribution of alcohol, candidates younger than 21 are not legally able to open or make alcoholic beverages and should apply for a different position.

Server

Individuals responsible for the majority of our guest experience. Servers will care for the needs of each guest from when they are seated until they leave the building. Expectations include eventual expertise in menu knowledge, ability to multi-task, and professionalism when interacting with guests. Ideal candidates will be personable, hard-working, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Server Support

Due to certain age restrictions on the sale and distribution of alcohol, candidates younger than 19 are not legally able to serve alcohol (you must be 21 or older to open or make drinks, as mentioned above). However, candidates who are not old enough to apply for the Server role, but who are still interested in a similar position should apply as a server and discuss working as server support. These individuals support the smooth running of the guest experience by working as an in-between for the server and kitchen staffs.

Host/Hostess

The face of the restaurant! Hostesses are the first interaction that most individuals will have when they cross paths with Jonah’s. Responsibilities include answering phones, taking reservations, and controlling the seating of guests throughout service. Ideal candidates will be personable, professional, and charismatic.

Kitchen Staff

Responsible for supporting the production of food items during service. Duties include dishwashing, stocking, cleaning, and sanitizing. Ideal individuals will be hard-working and personable.

Market & Bake Shop Staff

Individuals responsible for the daily operations of the Market & Bake Shop. Duties are widely varied and determined by skill and adaptability, but range from baking, inventory control, answering phones, to-go order receiving, and much more. Ideal candidates will be adaptable, personable, and professional,

Jonah’s at Jump Staff

Individuals for the daily operations of the Jonah's at Jump cafe located at the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Downtown Peoria. Job duties include food preparation, retail point of sale usage, and customer service. Ideal candidates will be personable and capable of multi-tasking.
